Multi-stage EMI Filter
Schaffer’s FN2090-8-6 multi-stage EMI filter is designed to reliably suppress electromagnetic interference in electrical and electronic systems. It is particularly suitable for applications where stable mains quality and compliance with EMC directives are required, such as in industrial control systems, mobile machinery or energy-sensitive equipment.
The filter operates at a supply voltage of 110 to 250 VAC at 50/60 Hz and covers a wide frequency range from DC to 400 Hz. Depending on the version, rated currents of 1 to 30 A are possible at a maximum ambient temperature of 40 °C, allowing it to be used flexibly across different power ranges.
The design complies with relevant standards such as UL 1283, CSA 22.2 No. 8 (1986) and IEC/EN 60939, and meets flammability requirements in accordance with UL 94 V-2 or better. Optional surge protection up to 2 kV in accordance with IEC 61000-4-5 is available, offering additional protection against transient overvoltages.
With an extended temperature range of -25 °C to +100 °C, the filter is also suitable for demanding environmental conditions in continuous operation and during storage.
The FN2090-8-6 is therefore a robust and versatile solution for reducing line interference and ensuring low-interference operation of electrical systems.
