SSR - Start inhibit relay

Function Start inhibit relay

The SSR is used to protect the starter, the pinion and the engine sprocket. It prevents accidental starting when the engine is already running or is still running out.

  • The SSR is an electronic relay connected between terminal 30 and the starter motor (terminal 50F). The engine speed is measured via the connection W of the alternator. The terminals 15 and 31 are used for power supply.

  • The D+ connection is required for additional excitation on some alternators. During the start process, the SSR switches voltage to connection D+ parallel to the charging indicator light.. This ensures that terminal W delivers clear signals for speed detection even at low speeds.

  • Connector plug is not part of the delivery - if required, please also order article ZUB5000 Set of 8-pin flat receptacle housings.
